FAQ for Music Applications

  • Please do not email info@taitmemorialtrust.org all of your relevant documents unless specificlly agreed to beforehand. I will create a file upload page for all applicants needing this option.

  • When uploading files, try not to have spaces in the file names.

  • The music has to be playable on a cd player. If your music was submitted in mp4 or m4 file format, I am not able to burn these on to disk here. If the cd is not playable, I will write to you individually to re-submit your music. It is in your best interest to get your files into the correct format by the deadline. I try to help all applicants and the adjudicators, the best I can, with various different technologies.

  • Tait funding tends to be in the range of £500 to £1000 to help towards cost of living while studying or starting your career. So, it terms of funding it would not be wise to bank on funding from the Tait to assist with your full tuition at UK Colleges as needed for UK BA. The small grant is paid directly to you once you arrive in the UK. We ask that awardees submit a brief report to the Trustees at the end of the year. We are a small charity that provides these small grants as well as performance platforms while you are exploring music careers here.
